The different Ethnic groups in Eritrea

I have read an information from the recent Guardian Newsletter regarding the unstable situation in Eritrea including the comments in a wordpress post and it is almost the same what I have predicted the future of this small country when it declared its Independence from Ethiopia with the help of the West and the Arabs by using TPLF as a tool. Immediately after independence, the different ethnic group in Eritrea has shown differences in the direction and as to how this country should be administered. The future of Eritrea is more complex than Ethiopia. Because:

1) some want to create the Tigray-Tigregn by including only the Christian highlanders from Tigre and Eritrea

2) some want to keep all the different ethnic groups with different religions and langues together despite of the growing hostilities amongst the different ethnic groups

3) some want to separate the Muslim areas and to leave the Christians alone so that they can chose their own best. This scenario will not include the Afars because of their love for Ethiopia and its Unity. History repeatedly confirmed that hearts and minds of the Afars are with Ethiopia and its people

4) Few may fancy to join Ethiopia. Unfortunately, this will not happen as Ethiopians do not believe and consider them as Ethiopian again because of their unnecessary propaganda of dishonest and hatred against Ethiopians and themselves.

5) Few may even want to join Sudan or Yemen (Like Rashaida and hedarab). Some ethnic group in Eritrea also feel that they have been betrayed by Isayas and his Hamassien Ethnic group. I have read wide range of information on how Isayas’s ethnic group has dominated and  committed crimes in Eritrea which is similar to the Crimes committed by TPLF against no-none Tigrians in Ethiopia.

Therefore, the perspective of Eritrea is more worrisome than Ethiopia and the 9 ethnic groups with different religions and languages are deeply divided. One of my close Eritrean friends told me that today it is difficult to hold a meeting together and to talk in one language so as to pass a resolution.
